Marietta Market 2012

Your Marketeers are hard at work for the 2012 season. We’re quite excited about all the stuff in the works, so stay tuned! We will again be open Sundays from 9-1 and will open May 27 – Oct 28.  Fresh Produce will be in Flanagan Park before we know it!

Just one of many fresh homegrown produce vendors at Marietta Market.I can’t wait to see everyone down at Market this Sunday in Flanagan Park. The weather seems much more promising! We’ll have donation based chair massage with Jordan Pyfer from 10-12. How can you go wrong with local food and a back massage?

Yoga in the park with Jaclyn Downs. We did this a few weeks ago, and wow! was it just perfect. Cost is also a donation. (Suggested $10.00)
And of course, our fabulous vendors, for whom we are so grateful. We wouldn’t be what we are without these steadfast folks bringing us such delightful, local food. Stop out and stock up your pantry with the finest food from Lancaster and York County.

We’re pleased to offer a donation based Yoga Class following market on Sunday July 31st and Aug 28th. Come out, listen to live music, and support your local farmers, before doing some Downward Dog under the trees of our lovely park.

Education Day – June 5 2011

Next week, come out for our Education Day… We have Donna Welsh at 9:00 – 9:45 talking about “The Natural World of Bath and Beauty”. Learn how to replace the potentially dangerous chemicals in your personal hygiene and beauty regimens with safer, natural options. It’s both fun and educational to make your own products. Use easily obtainable ingredients to create wonderful, natural products for your own use or for gifts. Not for women only.

…Master Gardener Home Composting Workshop – 10:00 Penn State Master Gardeners to conduct home compost workshops where residents will learn how to recycle organic waste from their kitchens and gardens instead of putting it in the trash. Composting is an excellent way to recycle vegetable scraps,grass clippings, leaves, and other organic materials and turn them into a useful and valuable product to naturally improve the soil.
